We as a country have no choice but to rise above it all and make the changes that are needed, take a deep breath and move forward through the storm.

Randywcgillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09364390980378931271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2618636316183469027.post-25265706380854169092008-09-30T22:08:00.000-05:002008-09-30T22:08:00.000-05:00Me again. I went and found the first part of her song "Fireflies" -- it's so powerful if you hear her sing it. Here then is the first half of the song in words:

"Fireflies"

Before you met me i was a fairy princess
I caught frogs and called them prince
And made myself a queen
Before you knew me i traveled 'round the world
I slept in castles and fell in love
Because i was taught to dream
I found mayonnaise bottles and poked holes on top
To capture tinkerbell
They were just fireflies to the untrained eye
But i could always tell

[chorus]
I believe in fairytales and dreamers dreams like bed sheet sails
And i believe in peter pan and miracles
And anything i can to get by
And fireflies
(incomplete)

Dream like a dreamer, believe in fairytales, and catch a firefly,

DianeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2618636316183469027.post-64831687059160749952008-09-30T22:02:00.000-05:002008-09-30T22:02:00.000-05:00I realize it wasn't the scary news in the USA that...I realize it wasn't the scary news in the USA that prompted this post but as the lyrics say, "dust in the wind" ... I'm one to talk when it comes to my own grief over my mom but I realize it's all just dust in the wind too ... though sometimes it's difficult to see it that way. Things will get better, they really will.

DianeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2618636316183469027.post-50875574783994025732008-09-30T14:33:00.000-05:002008-09-30T14:33:00.000-05:00Whoa...blogger just did a weird thing.
